Chemmart Uganda Ltd is honoured to have participated in the 3rd Uganda National Biomedical Engineering Conference at Makerere University, an inspiring experience that reaffirmed our commitment to advancing healthcare through innovation.
Sitting alongside visionary doctors, engineers, policymakers and industry leaders, we were reminded that biomedical engineering is not just about equipment, but about empowering health professionals with reliable tools that save lives.
Insights from experts like Eng. Tadeo Byabagambi, who advocated for a national medical equipment innovation and incubation centre, Robert Ssekitoleko, whose success in moving over 100 prototypes from concept to clinical testing proved the power of homegrown innovation, and Martha Mulerwa, who highlighted the importance of partnerships and local manufacturing, deeply aligned with our mission.
As we reflected on the theme Strengthening Biomedical Engineering for Sustainable Healthcare Systems and Economic Transformation in Uganda, we felt truly blessed to be part of a movement that is reshaping the future of health technology. This opportunity strengthens our resolve to invest in solutions that support healthcare delivery and drive economic transformation, and we are proud to contribute to building a healthier, more self reliant Uganda.
