U-Rise Health & Wellness Centre provides youth and women-friendly access to clinical care, mental health, SRHR and family planning information and services in Kawempe, Uganda. It also offers peer education and public health outreach services through its parent organization, Youth Rising. U-Rise was co-founded by Phylicia Martel, MBA (West Texas A&M University), Martin Muganzi, MBA (Universita Cato

lica de Sacro Cuore, Milano, Italy) and Nsubuga Allan (Makerere University) after being awarded a small grant from the U.S. Mission in Uganda in 2017. As U-Rise continues to establish itself in the region as a resource for improved healthcare, they will seek donor support, with the ultimate goal of becoming a self-sustaining social enterprise. U-Rise purchases some supplies locally, but also relies on donations by national and international organizations. U-Rise is staffed by paid professionals and a team of volunteers.
