Strengthening Healthcare through Imaging Education
Today, our team from Iris Imaging Center visited several health centres in Kireka as part of our ongoing community engagement and partnership initiative. These visits weren’t just routine, they were rich, collaborative training sessions focused on building shared knowledge and improving patient outcomes through imaging.
Together with healthcare staff, we had insightful discussions around:
When and why imaging is necessary – Understanding the key indicators that signal whether a patient needs an ultrasound, CT scan, or X-ray.
Choosing the right imaging tool – Knowing which modality provides the most accurate diagnosis for specific conditions.
Empowering frontline health workers – Equipping them with practical guidance on how imaging complements clinical assessments, speeds up diagnosis, and improves treatment decisions.
These conversations revealed a shared desire to bring imaging services closer to the patient by forging stronger referral systems and ensuring timely access to diagnostic support.
We deeply appreciate the openness and engagement from the health centres we visited. It’s clear that collaboration between health facilities and diagnostic centers like ours can make a significant difference especially in early detection and better care planning.
As we continue this journey, we remain committed to fostering knowledge-sharing, building capacity, and making quality imaging accessible to more communities.
