The bioactive compounds in Soursop fruit are called "Annonaceous Acetogenins", in 1997 scientists in the U.S tested these compounds against Adriamycin resistant human mammary adenocarcinoma. They dripped soursop fruit juice directly onto the tumor cells in vitro, they observed that the cancer cells were killed off 250 times faster than when Adriamycin was used. BREAST CANCER PATIENT ACHIEVES STABLE DISEASE USING SOURSOP & XELODA

A woman living in the U.S was battling Breast Cancer since her diagnosis in 1998. She was started on multiple lines of chemotherapy followed by radiation, but biopsies in 2002 showed lung metastases with subsequent Liver metastases in September 2007. She was then started on the cancer drug Xeloda, & she supplemented that with Soursop tea(10-12 leaves boiled in water for 5-7mins) daily. In April 2008 PET/CT scans showed that her tumor was shrinking. The patient reportedly moved to Alaska & discontinued her Soursop tea regimen & remained only on Xeloda. On returning in March 2012 PET-CT scans showed that her cancer was progressing again, also her lung disease had become worse.
