IT’S HIM —IN US

Think about it: God made you. GOD PUT YOU HERE, at this specific time in history. GOD HAS A PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE.

Not only that, but He gave you a brain that thinks, a heart that beats, and lungs that breathe. He gave you talents and abilities, hopes and desires. He gave you ears and eyes, muscles and ligaments. And HE POSITIONED YOU ON THIS PLANET that happens to be in the ideal position in our solar system for life to thrive.

YOU ARE A PART OF GOD’S PLAN.

A mysteriously beautiful part of God’s plan is that He chooses to work through His people…

“FOR GOD IS WORKING IN YOU, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Everything starts with God and comes from God. But we get to choose if we’ll listen to His Spirit and follow where He leads, or ignore Him. We get to decide if we’ll submit to His nudges and act on His promptings, or try to do it on our own.

It’s all God, but it’s also Him working in and through His people—just as He intended.

For those of us who belong to Christ, we are filled with His Spirit. We’re no longer slaves to sin or to this world. We’re no longer incapable of following God. Instead, He gives us new dreams and desires, thoughts and power, and a heart of compassion instead of selfishness.

So if an idea pops into your mind about blessing or encouraging someone else, don’t dismiss it. If you suddenly have a burning desire to share His message, to serve others, to give generously, or to shine His love, pay attention.

It’s likely the Spirit of God, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases Him.

PRAYER
God, thank You for being faithful. Thank You for making a way for me to know You. You are enough for me, and You make me enough. Please show me how You are at work in my life. A LIFELINE TO GOD

‘Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. THREE TIMES A DAY HE GOT DOWN ON HIS KNEES AND PRAYED, GIVING THANKS TO HIS GOD, JUST AS HE HAD DONE BEFORE.’ Daniel 6:10 (NIV).

Daniel was a man who stood alone. He BRAVELY SOUGHT HIS GOD IN PRAYER, regardless of the consequences. Despite the threats from his enemies and despite the decree that specified no one pray to anyone except the king, Daniel continued to pray three times a day as he had always done. Nothing or no one would hinder his determination to PRAY.

PRAYERS IS OUR LIFELINE TO GOD. And yet we so quickly forfeit our prayers because of the pressure of our busy schedule. Daniel did not let the threat of losing his life itself, hinder him from seeking God, and yet we allow so many less urgent things to get in the way of our communication with God.

Daniel had a life that meant he could not afford not to PRAY. We too have pressures and troubles that need to brought before our Father and we must attune our ear to hear what He has to say. PRAYER IS OUR LIFELINE TO GOD. It is what keeps us open and sensitive to the leading of His Spirit. It is what strengthens our faith and builds a solid friendship with Him.

Prayer:
‘Father, I want to grow and become close to you, but I cannot even begin to do this well, UNLESS I PRAY. Help me to seek you. Help me to pray. Thank you.’ In Jesus’ Mighty Name, AMEN!

Final Thoughts:
How do we think we could grow and mature as God’s people if we do not put communication with Him first before all else? How can we ever understand His deep love and care for us if we do not stop to let Him tell us?

Finally, how can we ever know the next step, the best choice, the lessons of growth along the way, if we do not listen long enough by lingering in His presence? God invites us into His presence to pray. God is extending a lifeline called prayer to us. Isn’t it time we took hold of that lifeline more often? Be Greatly Blessed! *HE IS ALWAYS LISTENING*

“ _I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears.” (Psalms 34:4)_

Good morning beloved! Rejoice! For a new day has begun.

Start the morning with praises on your lips for God is always listening.

He listens to all your cares and concerns. He listens to all your stories of victories and apparent defeat.

He listens, even when it feels as though He’s a million miles away.
Psalm 66:19 says, “BUT TRULY GOD HAS LISTENED; HE HAS ATTENDED TO THE VOICE OF MY PRAYER.”
In fact, God knows your heart, even before you utter a single word.
So why then do we still pray?
Well, have you ever had a friend who you just love confiding in? Sometimes you may even repeat the same story over and over, even though it’s already been heard many times before.
Why do we do that?
In the English language, we say we’re getting something off our chests. It feels good knowing that someone who truly cares about you is listening, doesn’t it?
Don’t you sometimes feel a sense of relief when you finally tell a loved one a secret? Or perhaps vent about the troubles of the day with a close friend?
The truth is, GOD IS CLOSER THAN YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND. And HE LONGS TO COMMUNE WITH YOU.

We don’t pray so that He knows what’s going on in our lives. He already does!

We don’t pray so that we can beg and plead with Him to answer our prayers. He already said ‘YES’ and ‘AMEN’ to all His promises.

And we certainly don’t pray so that we can be holy. He already gave holiness and righteousness to us as a gift through Jesus Christ.
So why then do we pray?
We pray, because God longs to listen to us.

Just like parents watching and listening fondly to their children – even though they may be speaking gibberish at times, God loves listening to you!

Do you think God will remove certain blessings from you simply because you said a few words out of sequence for a memorized prayer?

No! A thousand times no!
Your healing, your abundance, your security, your peace – they’re all a done deal.
And even though He already knows every detail in your life, He still loves to hear it from you!

So today, as you pray, drop any pretense that you may have.
Speak to Him as you would a close friend, a loved one.
You don’t need bombastic words to impress Him. And you certainly don’t need to pretend to be holy or perfect before Him. (Remember, He already sees you as Holy through Jesus’ work! There’s no need to pretend!)
So come, COME AS YOU ARE, TO PRAY, WORSHIP, AND PRAISE HIS NAME TODAY.
FOR HE ’S ALWAYS LISTENING.

Be Greatly Blessed!

*ACTION STEPS:*
Consciously commune with God more frequently today. He longs to hear from you!
You can speak to Him about everything in your life. The big things, the small things.
If it matters to you, it matters to Him.
You can vent at Him at times even, like the psalmist did.
But at the end of the day, always know that God cares for you. He loves you. And He listens to you.
He wishes to bless you even more intently than you wish to receive His blessings. And He’ll see you through whatever you’re facing today, to an even better tomorrow.

*PRAYER:*
Father, thank you for always listening to me.
No matter how trivial my concerns are, you always treat them with the utmost care.
Even though you hold up the entire universe in your hands, yet, you care about the smallest detail in my life.
Who am I? That you’re so mindful of me?
Me! One amongst billions of people, on a planet that’s the tiniest of specks in the vast universe.
But O Lord, knowing that you’re listening, knowing that you care, knowing that you’re always with me, brings an unspeakable peace to my heart.
Just knowing you’re here with me gives me the strength to go out into the day and glorify your name.
I can’t begin to understand how much you must truly love me. But I do know, that even though it’s just a tiny portion in comparison, I love you too.

*TO WHOM ARE YOU LISTENING?*

In the Scripture, even though God said that Job was a “blameless and upright man,” almost overnight he suffered great personal losses. Things got so bad that his wife told him to just curse God and die. His friends, supposedly his comforters, said the tragedy was all his fault. Surely, they said, he sinned and was getting what he deserved. In times of difficulties, be careful who you listen to. DON'T GIVE YOUR EAR TO JUST ANYONE. SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST AT HEART.
THEY'LL JUDGE AND CONDEMN YOU, TRY TO STRAIGHTEN YOU OUT, TELL YOU EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE WRONG. You need to BE AROUND PEOPLE WHO SPEAK FAITH INTO YOU. You need people who tell you that you’re coming out, that healing is on the way, that God has beauty for the ashes. And even if the difficulty is your fault, you need people who tell you that God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake, that His arms are still wide open. Tune out all the accusing, condemning voices and listen to those whose hearts are like the God who is calling you.

A Prayer for Today
“Father, THANK YOU FOR THE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE WHO INSPIRE ME, CHALLENGE ME, and MAKE ME BETTER. Help me to be wise about who I listen to and the counsel and opinions I receive. Help me to distance myself from anyone whose influence is condemning. I want to walk with the right people. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Here is what most people get wrong about sobriety.
They treat it like a willpower problem. But neuroscience tells us something different. Every time you drink to decompress, reward yourself, or escape, your brain is reinforcing a dopamine loop. You are not weak. You are wired.

After coaching hundreds of high performers through lasting sobriety, I can tell you the ones who never look back are not the ones who gritted their teeth the hardest. They are the ones who rebuilt their relationship with themselves first.

Here is why that matters scientifically. Alcohol hijacks your brain’s reward system. The only way to break that loop permanently is to replace it with something your nervous system values more. That something is self-worth. Identity. Purpose.

When you genuinely love who you are and who you are becoming, your brain stops looking for the escape route. The craving is not for alcohol. It was never for alcohol. It was for relief. For peace. For a version of yourself you actually respect.

That is the real work I do with my clients. Not counting days. Not white-knuckling through happy hour. Building the internal foundation that makes alcohol irrelevant.
The goal was never sobriety. Sobriety is just what happens when you finally choose yourself.
