Digital spaces are lifelines for many navigating fertility journeys—a source of knowledge, solidarity, and hope. But when Digital Gender-Based Violence (DGBV) strikes, it silences our sisters and denies them the vital information they need.

Tonight, Bumiizo Fertility Knowledge Platform Uganda is proud to join the conversation on Digital GBV and its painful impact on the online lives of fertility victims. We need to talk about:

How online harassment forces women to retreat from crucial support groups.

The devastating effect of doxxing and shaming on mental health during an already challenging journey.

The urgent need for digital safety and literacy to protect sensitive health data.

🌱 World Health Organization (WHO) is calling on all countries to make fertility care safer, fairer and more affordable.

The new guideline includes to improve prevention, diagnosis and treatment — from simple fertility advice to IVF — all based on science and respectful care.
