WHY "KASONGO" WAS COMPOSED.

His real name was Kasongo wa Kanema, died 2 years ago and buried at Lang'ata Cemetery.....

โ€œKasongoโ€ has been trending but few know the story behind the song.
"Kasongo" was done by the band Super Mazembe, a congolese band that moved to Kenya in 1974. The band members had gone to visit their friend Kasongo in Eastleigh, Nairobi.

On reaching his house, they met Kasongoโ€™s wife and they asked her if he was at home.
Kasongoโ€™s wife welcomed them and told them that she had not seen Kasongo for days.

Back then, there was no internet and it was rare to find someone who owned a phone. They decided to send him a message through music, hoping it would reach him.

The Super Mazembe members started creating a song for Kasongo in his living room, telling him to come home because his wife is worried and sheโ€™s looking for him but canโ€™t find him.

They went on to record the song and, as they say, the rest is history.

Greetings everyone.

Doctors online is an initiative by Dr Moses Ogonya (Lira City West MP hopeful 2026~2031) which is aimed and extending health services to the community of Lira City West, Lango and other regions within and outside Uganda.

It is the first of it's kind in Uganda and East Africa introduced by Dr Moses Ogonya.

It is a call away from a specialist which makes it easy to get expert guidance related to health.

It consists of a team of specialists and other Doctors who are ready to be consulted via different avenues mostly on calls, WhatsApp and email.

This WhatsApp group is entirely for health related concerns and any other business run here will violate the agenda of this group.

You can always post your health issues and get replies from the group so that it can benefit the majority.

The community we need can only be created by us.

Dr Moses Ogonya remains the best choice for Lira City West.
