π A stroke occurs when blood clots or blocks in the brain (ischemic stroke) or sudden bleeding when a blood vessel raps or break in the brain. There are many types of stroke depending on where they occur in the brain but they fall under the 2 types ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
Sings of stroke can range from mild weakness to paralysis or Numbness on one side of the face or body. Other sings including sudden weakness and severe headache, trouble seeing and trouble speaking or understanding speech. A stroke is a medical emergency. A stroke can cause lasting brain damage, long-term disability or even death.
