Building safer futures through inclusion and empowerment.
I recently had the privilege of representing Jangu International at the British Council’s BMM Uganda Gender Equality and Social Inclusion Training (GESI), held from October 1st to 4th, 2024, in Kampala. This transformative event aimed to raise awareness around gender-specific dynamics and social inclusion within the migration context. The sessions brought together stakeholders from various organizations, including Rahab Uganda, Mpigi District Local Government, Bushenyi District Local Government, and Kapchorwa District Local Government, to exchange invaluable insights.
The event, led by the British Council and its partners, focused on gender-sensitive approaches, social inclusion, and innovative solutions to combat human trafficking. These themes resonate deeply with Jangu International’s mission to empower marginalized youth, foster social entrepreneurship, and address the root causes of unsafe migration.
The GESI training marks a crucial step towards building a more inclusive and equitable society, and I am excited about the positive impact this will have on youth within our communities
