As we spread more awareness about World AIDS day we should not forget to show love,support,care encouragement and togetherness because discrimination and stigma are breaking us apart..Shave my head is calling us all to dedicate ourselves into testing,preventing and adhering to treatment for a better life and future of the new generation.

We were warmly welcomed to take the pupils into the next session after hair trimming and we greatly used the platform to advocate for menstrual health,personal hygiene and alerting pupils about s*x abuse violences in schools or at home..Pupils had different thoughts,questions and myths when it comes to menstruation for example what causes stomach ache before or during menstruation?Should one wash with soap during menstruation?and as shave my head group we were lucky to have visited the school to answer all the questions that the pupils had..

Our visit to Kitti Parents Primary School was a success..We started with the hair trimming and interaction with the pupils about the different activities at school..

Because mental health matters,Shave My Head believes that mental health awareness is key to a peaceful living. We believe that school going girls having access to menstrual health services will releive them from anxiety and depression they have to endure while choosing between staying home and joining school.
Interactions between boys and girls about life and school challenges helps us to have that honest talk thus we believe that having mental health talks surely helps on working on the mental health and spreading more awareness to the young generation.

Shave my head together with Afripads uganda promoting menstrual hygiene and teaching girls how to use Afripads re-usable sanitary towels to help girls feel safe and comfortable during their menstrual days hence reduce on girls abstentism in school.
