1.

Hands of good Samaritan International is a community-based Not for profit and non denominational organization implementing its programs across selected communities in Soroti and Teso sub region in Uganda. Hands of Good Samaritan International (HAGOSI) is a community-based Not for profit and non denominational organization implementing its programs across selected communities in Soroti and Teso sub region in Uganda. HAGOSI was founded after realization of the impacts of wars, poverty, natural disasters and increase in the number of orphans and other vulnerable children not forgetting increase in the number of school drop outs, single mothers and the elderly who need help if they are to survive and soar in the current state of life. It is this realization that made the founder of HAGOSI to respond to the calling from God first by mobilizing others in his community to serve as Good Samaritans so as to help reach out to the communities in need. To date the ministry stands on the following pillars:
Identity- Identify the need
Serving- Respond to the need and serve
Prayer – Pray for others in need and for more servants
Sending to serve – Mobilize, Train build and send others to serve in areas of need. HAGOSI focuses on reaching out to the children, youth and women especially single mothers, school drop outs, church leaders and the elderly. Our interventions are aimed at transforming lives through care, skills training, capacity building, education support health interventions etc. our key target groups are; children, youth, teenagers, mothers, inmates in prisons, disabled, the sick and elderly so that they can live transformed lives. And our mission is to promote Christ centered services to communities through increased participation in holistic ministry. To equip youth with entrepreneurial skills and apprenticeship trainings for poverty reduction in the church and community.
2. To promote church ministry and evangelical missions through networking with churches.
3. To initiate programmes that improves livelihoods of orphans and vulnerable children, women and other vulnerable persons in the community
4. To improve the level of community hygiene, sanitation, and access to safe drinking water
5. To help youth identify and develop their talents in serving God and Mankind
6. Promoting environmental conversation in communities
7. To promote formal education and life skills training.

Our Story

BACKGROUND.

Hands of Good Samaritan International is a community based organization registered by the government of the republic of Uganda. HAGOSI was founded in 2015 with the main goal To improve on the creativity and productivity of Christian youth in the likeness of Jesus Christ both at house hold, church and the economy of Uganda as a country.

HAGOSI implements its programs through working with communities , local churches, schools and other Non Governmental Organizations

VISION: “a generation of creative, productive and self-reliant young people who use, protect and conserve their Christian values in life and Community for the future generations”.

MISSION :

Enhancing the participation of vulnerable communities in socio economic and spiritual transformation so as to improve the standards of life as God enables by his grace through creating long lasting solutions to youth and house hold poverty, holding onto Christian values and living exemplary Christ like life so that every Christian lives life in its fullness.

OBJECTIVES

The Objectives for which the Organization is established include:

General Objective:

To improve on the creativity and productivity of Christian youth in the likeness of Jesus Christ both at house hold, church and the economy of Uganda as a country.

Specific Objectives:

To equip youth with entrepreneurial skills and apprenticeship trainings for poverty reduction in the church and community.

To promote church ministry and evangelical missions through networking with churches in the region

To initiate programmes that improves livelihoods of orphans and vulnerable children, women and other vulnerable persons in the community

To improve the level of community hygiene, sanitation, and access to safe drinking water

To establish health care programmes aimed at improving the health status of the communities, people living with HIV/AIDS, children and pregnant mothers

To help youth identify and develop their talents in serving God and Mankind

To appeal, accept and receive donations from individuals, Families, groups, churches, Associations, Foundations, Non-Governmental Organizations or Governments to further the Objectives and Vision of HANDS OF GOOD SAMARITAN INTERNATIONAL

HAGOSI values life Holistically. Our ministry efforts aim at causing long lasting impact in the lives of all we are reaching to. Through our programs every one we touch will have life in fullness.

Your help is very important to us. We offer several opportunities for people around the world to join us through short term mission trips. Our trips are focused on spiritual development, as well as economic and health issues. In order to help us maximize our efficiency and impact within departments, we need all types of short -term missionaries, whether you have a particular skill you think would be beneficial or not e.g family counselling, teaching children , technical knowledge, training in any field, we look forward of serving with you!
