💧 Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate — But Why? 🌱
We hear it all the time: “Stay hydrated!” But what does it really mean, and why is it so important?
âś… What is hydration?
Hydration simply means giving your body enough water to function properly. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body needs water to do its job from regulating your temperature, to carrying nutrients, to keeping your skin supple.
âś… Why should you hydrate?
Water makes up about 60% of your body. When you don’t drink enough, you can feel tired, get headaches, struggle to focus, and even slow down your metabolism. Long-term dehydration can also strain your kidneys and heart.
âś… Why is staying hydrated important?
Because your body is constantly losing water through sweat, breath, and even just being alive you need to keep replenishing it. Especially in hot weather, during exercise, or when you’re unwell, your hydration needs go up.
✨ Tip: Don’t wait to feel thirsty by then, you’re already mildly dehydrated! Sip water throughout the day, and add hydrating foods like fruits and vegetables to your meals.
💧 Your body works better when it’s well-watered. Take a sip right now your health thanks you!
