In today’s busy way of life, we rarely stop for a moment for self-care. But if our cup is empty, how can we pour into anyone else’s?

Through my passion of helping others, I use the counseling session as one where the client(s) and I collaborate to improve everyday life. A safe space is created where we explore and define presenting problems, develop future goals for an improved life, and implement change. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other approaches that fit the client(s) needs. Some of the struggles I have experience helping clients process through are traumatic situations, stress, anxiety, mood disturbances, adjustments in life, relationships, depression, and family stressors. My role as your counselor is to support you and help you navigate through those difficulties. I look forward to helping you achieve growth and healing.

Good morning and Happy October! It has been quiet for some time now due to all the wonderful therapy sessions we have had over the past year and a half! In May, we celebrated our ONE year anniversary and this November, I will be moving to Abbeville FULL TIME! Yay! I am so very excited to be able to offer services in Vermilion Parish and our surrounding areas!

EXCITING NEWS!

Since earning my Master's degree in mental health counseling from UL in 2015, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings gaining knowledge and experience to better serve our community. One of the dreams I have had since beginning this journey was to bring mental health services back to Vermilion parish. Beginning May 1, 2023, I will be serving our community by providing mental health counseling in TWO locations, Lafayette and Abbeville, in my private practice, Katelyn H. Landry, LPC-S, LLC.
