Happy Mother’s Day from The Vermilion! 🌸
Our hearts are full after a wonderful Mother’s Day Social this past Friday! It was a morning filled with laughter, community, and a little bit of friendly competition.
We spent the morning:
• Playing Bingo: Huge congratulations to all our lucky winners! 🏆
• Sweet Treats: We enjoyed a spread of delicious pastries that were almost too pretty to eat (but we managed!). 🥐☕️
• Celebrating Heritage: Most importantly, we took the time to honor the incredible mothers, grandmothers, and influential women who call our community home.

Ms. Shirley is an absolute joy—easygoing, full of laughter, and always ready for a good time! Whether she’s calling out numbers at bingo, heading out on fun outings, playing LCR, or getting creative with her crafts, she brings energy and warmth to everything she does. She especially treasures time with her daughters and loves sharing smiles and stories with the wonderful ladies at her table. Congratulations, Ms. Shirley, on being named Resident of the Month!

This month, we are bursting with pride as we celebrate a very special anniversary. Our wonderful cook, Ms. Laura, is marking 17 years of service with our family!

For nearly two decades, Ms. Laura has been the heart of our kitchen. More than just a talented cook, she is a familiar face who knows exactly how our residents like their meals and always serves up a side of kindness with every plate. Whether it’s a favorite comfort food dish or a holiday feast, her dedication to nourishing our community has made The Vermilion feel like home for so many.

Seventeen years is an amazing achievement, and we are so lucky to have her expertise, her smile, and her passion in our kitchen every day.
