I have been in the funeral business for over 60 years and today I enter retirement. It has been my honor to serve families in the surrounding areas during the most difficult time in life. Mr. Robert A. Franklin, known affectionately by family and friends as “Knee”, 59 of Abbeville, SC was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024, at his home. He was born December 15, 1964, to the late Robert and Daisy Mae Franklin.

Robert was a member of The Life Center of Abbeville, SC. He was employed by Sage Industries in Abbeville, SC

Robert leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife Deborah Franklin of Abbeville, SC; one daughter Vacynthia (Kyree) Anderson of Greenwood, SC; one son Kendrain Franklin of Due West, SC; one stepson Dantravious Hill of Texas; two godchildren Edrin Smith and Meloni Smith of Greenwood, SC; two brothers Joseph Franklin of Abbeville, SC and Aaron Thompson; four sisters Donna (Tori) Barnes, Jacqueline Franklin and Veronica Franklin all of Abbeville, SC and Neria Wardlaw of Mauldin, SC; three aunts Mrs. Ollie (Emory) Morton and Mrs. Rose (John) Allen of Abbeville, SC, Ms. Mary Franklin of Greenville, SC; three grandsons Daelin, Dezius and Dakari Anderson of Greenwood, SC.

Robert will be missed by a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, along with a host of other close family and friends.

Mr. James V. Pierce of Montgomery, AL 87 died November 13, 2023 at his home. He’s survived by a daughter, Dr. Rolanda P. (Rev. Carl) Johnson of Macon, MS, a son, James M. (Stephanie) Pierce of Edina, MN, a sister, Cebell P. Miller of Griffen, GA, a brother Fletcher J. (Sylvia) Pierce of McCormick, SC and five grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL at 11:00 a.m. Professional care is by Ross-Clayton Funeral.
