So how do you know where to go?

🩹 Choose Urgent Care if:
• The cut is small or shallow
• Bleeding stops after a few minutes of pressure
• You may need a few stitches or proper cleaning
• It’s not too deep or caused by something major

🚨 Head to the ER if:
• Bleeding won’t stop after 10 minutes of firm pressure
• The cut is deep, wide, or you can see fat or bone
• It was caused by a serious accident or dirty/rusty object
• There’s numbness, loss of movement, or heavy bleeding

When in doubt, it’s always okay to get checked out. We’re here for the cuts that need care without the long ER wait! 🤍

Dealing with back pain? Here are a few simple do’s and don’ts that may help you feel better. 👇

3 Things To Do:
✔️ Rest, but not for too long. Short breaks can help, but gentle movement can keep your muscles from getting stiff.
✔️ Apply ice or heat. Ice can help reduce inflammation, while heat may relax tight muscles.
✔️ Maintain good posture. Sitting and standing with proper support can help prevent added strain on your back.

3 Things NOT To Do:
❌ Don’t ignore severe or worsening pain.
❌ Don’t lift heavy objects or twist your back suddenly.
❌ Don’t stay in bed all day. Too much rest can actually slow recovery.

If your back pain isn’t improving or is making it hard to go about your day, the team at Abbeville Urgent Care is here to help. Stop by to be evaluated and get the care you need.

Burns can happen quickly, whether it’s from cooking, hot water, or touching a hot surface. If you have a minor burn, here are a few quick steps to help care for it:

• Run cool (not cold) water over the burn for 10–15 minutes
• Gently clean the area and apply a sterile bandage
• Avoid popping any blisters and keep the burn protected

If the burn becomes more painful, shows signs of infection, or you’re unsure how serious it is, it’s best to have it checked by a medical professional.

Abbeville Urgent Care is here to help with minor burns and other everyday injuries. Walk in and get the care you need without the long wait.
