February is National Heart Month, and the first Friday of the month is recognized as National Wear Red Day. The AAMC family was decked out in red on Friday, February 6th, to raise awareness about heart disease in women and to honor those loved ones and AAMC team members who suffer from this condition.

Heart disease remains the leading cause of death—but many risk factors are preventable.
This month, we encourage our patients to:
✔ Know their numbers (BP, cholesterol, glucose)
✔ Stay active
✔ Eat heart-healthy
✔ Keep up with regular cardiac care
