Celebrating Linda & Bill! 🌟

Today, we send our sincerest congratulations to Linda and Bill! 💕 After a year-long rehabilitation journey, Linda is finally heading home!

Linda suffered a severe stroke and faced countless challenges along the way. However, Linda's determination and perseverance never wavered. One of her biggest milestones has been regaining the ability to safely eat and drink again. When she first arrived at Abbotsford, all of Linda's nutrition came through a feeding tube. Now, she’s heading home tube-free and ready to enjoy all her favorite foods (better have some biscuits and gravy ready, Bill! 😉).

We also want to give a special shoutout to Bill, who took advantage of our outpatient physical therapy services to recover from hip replacement surgery. He was already coming to visit Linda, so it saved him a trip! Bill was highly motivated to recover in order to be ready to help Linda once she could return home. We're so excited that the day is finally here.

🌟 Rod's Inspiring Road to Recovery 🌟

A huge congratulations to Rodney Thieme, another incredible success story from Abbotsford Health Care Center!

After suffering a serious leg fracture, Rod faced a tough two months where he couldn’t put weight on his leg. Through sheer determination and with the unwavering support of our amazing team of physical and occupational therapists, Rod has worked hard to rebuild his strength and regain his mobility.

As a result of his hard work, Rod is heading home independently. From relearning everyday tasks to taking his first steps with a walker, his journey has been nothing short of remarkable. It’s a true testament to the power of resilience, hope, and never giving up!

Rod, you’ve shown us all what it means to push through challenges and come out stronger. We’re so proud of you!

This Physical Therapy Month, we're celebrating David Wurl, one of our amazing residents, who is now ready to make a safe and confident transition to assisted living!
After working closely with our dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant, Eli, David has regained strength, improved mobility, and is enjoying a more independent lifestyle.

Eli has been an integral part of our therapy team—both virtually and in person. His compassion, empathy, and expertise have made all the difference. His commitment to helping residents like Mr. Wurl achieve their goals is exactly why we’re proud to honor our PT professionals this month.
