To Our In Motion Physical Therapy Family,
As we are facing uncertain times in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we know many of you have questions regarding our office status, as well as safety precautions we have in place to protect patients and staff.
As determined by the federal government and the state of New Jersey, Physical Therapy offices as part of the healthcare services field are deemed part of “critical infrastructure” and therefore essential (https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/03.16.20_coronavirus-guidance_8.5x11_315PM.pdf). Based on this determination our practice is open on a modified schedule for in office visits.
Taking into account the safety guidelines established, the following changes have been made:
1. We will treat no more than two patients at a time in order to maintain more than the recommended distance between each person. However, if you would prefer a private session, we are able to accommodate those requests as well.
2. All patients must be screened by office staff before entering the premises. We are using the appropriate health assessment questions regarding symptoms, travel and contact with others.
3. Immediately upon arrival, all patients must thoroughly wash their hands in accordance with CDC guidelines which are posted by the sink. Right after, all patients must don a pair of vinyl gloves that we are providing.
4. For additional precautions, our staff is wearing either medical or N95 masks. We are also changing gloves between patients we treat and frequently washing our hands in accordance with CDC guidelines.
5. We have increased our sanitation procedures to ensure a deep and thorough cleaning.

Your health insurance website
While we are open for patients to come in, we are aware that some may not be able to do a face to face visit due to compromised immune systems (yourself or a family member), or are not comfortable stepping out of your home during this time. To ensure that all of our patients continue receiving the best care to meet their needs, we are also able to provide Telehealth services as allowed by your insurance plan. Changes are occurring quite rapidly, so if your plan does not cover it today, it may be covered very soon. If you are interested in discussing these services, please give us a call at (732) 290-1080.
