What even is this Jikiden Reiki! Jikiden means, âdirectly taughtâ or âdirectly passed downâ. It is authentic Japanese Usui Reiki, as practiced and taught in the late 1920s and 30s in Japan, with no western influence or adaption to the original teachings of the time.
Most people assume (and why wouldnât they), that everything under the banner of Reiki is the same thing. Yet there are marked differences in understandings, teachings, techniques, and applications between differing Reiki âstylesâ.
Jikiden Reiki has no variations, it is uniform in its teachings, continuing tradition, and adhering as closely as possibly to the original principles.
It has taken several years to work the way up to Reiki Master Teacher of the Western style, and even then there has always been something missing and pieces that didnât make sense as to how they became a part of this practice. Jikiden training brought us a sense of completion, and a feeling that we are truly honoring this energy healing technique, along with the founderâs original teachings. We are excited to continue on this path and offer this sacred healing to our clients!
