The Aberdeen Lions Club enthusiastically entered a team in this year's 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's in Moore County at Sandhills Community College on Saturday, September 13. The club raised $2,395.80, surpassing its goal of $1,000. The event also surpassed its $200,000 goal by raising $234,697. Representing the Lions were (from left) Kay Mack, Jim Mack, Dave Forrest, Cy Israel, Gary Greene, Linda Haire, Evelyn Patton, and Nate Patton. Not pictured are Birtha Shaw, Jim Rooney, and Tia Chick. Lion Tia also served on the event's steering committee.

The Aberdeen Lions Club contributed new children's underwear to Bob's Closet, a Greensboro charity that offers low-income families and individuals the opportunity to pick out a week’s worth of clothing at no cost. The effort was undertaken by many Lions Clubs in District 31-O at its annual Awards and Officer Installation program on July 26, 2025, in Sanford. Making the donation on behalf of the club were (from left) Lions Gary Greene, Dave Forrest, Susie Dailey, and Davis Clark. Lion Susie is a member of the Guilford County Wide Cyber Lions Club that helps spearhead Lions donations to Bob's Closet.

Victoria Huggins (left) of The Alzheimer's Association presented to the Aberdeen Lions Club on Thursday, July 24, 2025, sharing an update on Alzheimer's the local Alzheimer's Walk. Her host for the lunch was Lion Tia Chick, member of the club. Following Ms. Huggins presentation, the Aberdeen Lions agreed to sponsor a team for the September walk at Sandhills Community College.

Lion Davis Clark (right) of the Aberdeen Lions Club receives the North Carolina Lions Foundation Ambassador Award from 2024-25 Lions District Governor Judy Keck in recognition of his outstanding service to North Carolina Lions and his local Aberdeen community. This award is the most prestigious given through the North Carolina Lions Foundation. The presentation was part of the annual District 31-O Awards and Installation on July 26 in Sanford.
