Sanford Health is excited to announce that Lewis Drug, a family-owned pharmacy and retail store chain, is joining Sanford Health.

With 60 locations through South Dakota, Iowa and Minnesota, the partnership will ensure continued access and convenience to pharmacy services and retail items for communities across the region.

Lewis Drug will continue to operate under its current brand, and its team of 188 pharmacists and 1,300 team members will become employees of Sanford Health.

By the time Maggie Schumacher visited the doctor to talk about the pain in her left shoulder, she was using a doorframe to support her arm just so she could pull her hair back in a ponytail.

Dr. Dalton McDaniel, a specialist in orthopedic surgery at Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center, consulted with Schumacher before performing a complete reverse shoulder replacement on her.

Departments across Sanford Aberdeen donated food items to prepare "Blessing Baskets" for local families in need. The items in a blessing basket cover a basic thanksgiving meal. Sanford Aberdeen Medical Center was able to donate 31 Blessing Baskets. The baskets were delivered to Safe Harbor, Journey Home, and the Salvation Army and distributed to the families.
