is how we respond to a loss, most commonly through death. However losing a job, or someone through divorce, and dealing with illnesses can also bring about a grief response. There are stages to grief, Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, and Acceptance. They can occur in any order and stages may be repeated during your grieving process. Grief is an individual response and differs for each person.
, often the first stage not wanting to accept the news of a death, can come back as numbness. Not dealing with grief and just continuing to go on through life attempting to not face those feelings is a form of denial. At some point you should unload that baggage. It’s okay to talk about your feelings and release that energy. Although it may seem difficult to face those feelings, it will help to lighten your load. There isn’t a timetable, there aren’t any deadlines with grief. You don’t have to go alone. God will walk with you and even carry you…Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
