In the journey of recovery, whether from trauma, addiction, or mental health challenges, therapy plays an essential role in healing. It is a gift you give yourself, allowing you to work with your past, understand your emotions, and build resilience and hopes for the future.

In a world that often feels chaotic, prioritizing your recovery and mental health is one of the most valuable gifts you can give yourself. Therapy not only helps you gain insight into your own emotions and experiences but also empowers you to cultivate deeper connections with others. When you take the time to heal and grow, you become better equipped to support those around you.

Letting go can be a difficult but necessary step in maintaining your own well-being. It emphasizes the importance of self-acceptance and understanding that we cannot control how others feel or respond. Focusing on your own feelings and letting go of the need for validation from others can lead to personal growth and inner peace. How do you feel about this perspective? Its not always easy to let go. Feel free to reach out. I can help. :-)

Sometimes, it's tough to let go, especially when the memories and feelings associated with what we hold onto are deeply ingrained in our hearts and minds. When we’ve invested so much time and emotion into something that has meant a lot to us, the struggle to move on can feel overwhelming, even when we understand that this, too, will fade and life goes on.

Addiction is like this, too. When we stop using alcohol or other drugs or acting out, we experience a sense of grief and loss.

If you're feeling this way, know you're not alone. I've been there, too, and I'm here to help. Reach out anytime; together, we can find a path toward healing.

Desire can sometimes mask selfish motives, but true value shines through appreciation and respect. It's not about what they want from you, but how they uplift and cherish you. Recognize the difference; it’s essential for your ability to trust others and for your own self-confidence.

"One more” whispers sweet promises, but it's our favorite vice that will lead us astray. Yet, breaking free opens the door to our liberation from regrets, disappointments, and shame. It’s about shedding the burdens of the past and claiming a new narrative. There is an exhilarating rush of fresh air as we leave behind what no longer serves us. True freedom means living without the weight of yesterday's senseless choices, allowing us to celebrate our resilience and rediscover true joy in every moment. Today, we can to rise above the shadows; our future is bright and full of possibility.

Children who do not receive sensitive parenting to a sufficient degree are at greater risk for seeking chemical solutions later in life. Clearly, stress and trauma are linked to addiction. Early trauma impacts a person’s ability to self-soothe and cope with stress. When stress becomes unbearable, overwhelming and frightening, it often leads to one or more addictions.
