Our Philosophy
Accura HealthCare is an Iowa-based healthcare company that manages and operates skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and assisted living centers. Accura embraces an upside-down organization philosophy that places the residents, patients, and direct care employees at the very top of the organizational chart.
Also, Accura chooses not to be referenced as a corporate office but rather a Resource Center. The lower an employee is on the chart (thus having more leadership responsibilities), the more responsibility they have to be a resource for those above them.
Accura's upside-down organizational philosophy creates an upside-down triangle that is reflected in the company's logo. Also visible within the triangle of the logo is one person caring for another. This symbol represents the meaning of the company's name. "Accura" is a Latin word meaning "to take care of or give attention to."
