Meet Hunter Chaffin, SPT, CSCS, our current PT student and dedicated 5:15 am Small Group Training coach 👋

Hunter grew up in the DFW area & is a graduate of Prosper High School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Harding University, and is nearing the finish line for his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at Hardin-Simmons University this December. 🎓

With over a year of coaching experience at Body Worx, Hunter is passionate about helping others move well and stay active. In his free time, Hunter enjoys basketball, pickleball, fishing, anything outdoors, and spending time with his wife Makenzie. His ultimate goal is to empower people to do what they love at a high level and continue to serve the Body Worx community during his final PT school clinical rotation 💪

FAQ: “Do I need a referral to start PT?”

NO! 😁 As of 9/1/25, patients can see a PT in Texas for evaluation & treatment for up to 30 calendar days before needing a PT referral!

With the current Direct Access laws in TX, you can come straight in to see any of our Doctors of Physical Therapy without having to see your P*P first - saving you money, time, and gets you on the road to recovery FASTER 👍

📢 BIG NEWS!!

House Bill 4099 (HB 4099) has expanded direct access for physical therapy across Texas, giving patients more freedom and faster access to care! 🙌🙌

We have been advocating for increased direct access to PT in Texas for well over a decade. While our patients still do not have 100% unlimited direct access to PT like many other states and health professions (chiropractor, massage therapists, acupuncturist, dentists etc), we are grateful to see advancement!

Thank you to everyone who advocated for better patient access and helped push HB 4099 to the finish line!
