Barbara Sanderson

Barbara Sanderson, 83, of Anson passed away on the morning of December 26, 2025 in Abilene.

Barbara was born in Abilene, Texas on March 3, 1942 to Warren and Dorris (Allen) McElhaney. She went to school in Sweetwater and graduated from Newman High. She married Gary Sanderson. She enjoyed her work as a home health caregiver for many years. She was a life long member of the Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and her daughter Brandi Rhodes.

She is survived by two graddaughters Brylee and Ashtyn.

Funeral services will be held at the Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery in Abilene at 3:00PM, Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of the Big Country, 4601 Hartford, Abilene, TX 79605.

Cremation services are entrusted to West Central Texas Cremation, Abilene, Texas.

Johnny Rowe

Johnny Lee Rowe, age 83, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away on December 18, 2025 in Breckenridge, Texas.

Johnny was born in San Angelo, Texas to Joseph William Rowe and Frances Ivey Rowe on August 13, 1942. He attended school in various places in the Western United States, including high school in Van Horn, Texas. He married Penelope Presley on May 28, 1991 in Clark County, Nevada.

Johnny worked in the gravity magnetic and seismic fields for much of his life, serving as President of Breckenridge Exploration Co., Inc from the 1980s until his retirement in 2011. Johnny always said he could not have been successful without his valued employees and co- workers.

He was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Johnny was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge, of which he was very proud.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Jacqueline Annette Rowe.

He is survived by his wife, Penelope and a son, Johnny M. Rowe. In addition, siblings Jody(Dean) Harris, Joe Bill Rowe, and Ronee (A.H.)Bickel. Grandchildren, Heather ( Ryan) Suiter, Jayme Rowe, Jessica (Kirk) Ayers, Joseph W. Rowe. Great-Grandchildren include Kole McGlothlin, Andrue and Halen La Fleur, Trinity Welch and Stetson Rowe. Additionally, Johnny is survived by one great-great grandchild, Westin McGlothlin.

Special acknowledgment to our nephew, Scott Presley and his daughters Emily and Sydney for their assistance and support in recent months. Also, our dear friend Patsy McMullen, wife of Johnny’s beloved friend, Roger.

Johnnys most cherished hobbies included competitive shooting, serving as a licensed scuba instructor, along with hunting and fishing. He had a lifetime love of all things outdoor.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Breckenridge Masonic Lodge #492 or Shriners Hospitals.

No services are planned at this time.

Margaret Walton 87 of Clyde Tx has gone for a beautiful Family reunion in Heaven on December 26 2025

She was born on October 27, 1938 in Sonora, TX to her loving parents Frank Leslie Moore Sr and Fay Lee Corder Moore. She grew up in Sonora and attended school there. She met John Leslie Walton Jr there and married him on November 5th, 1955 and they were married for 64 wonderful years.

They had 4 children. Billie Ray Walton and wife Susan of Florence AZ. Susan Walton of Clyde Tx. Eva Baker and Tim of Rochelle TX and Elizabeth "Kricket" Lenker and her husband Chris of Godley TX. Seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

She has 1 brother, John Douglas Moore and wife, Teresa of Big Lake.

She was proceeded in death by her husband John Leslie Walton.

She was also proceeded in death by her parents Mike and Fay Moore of Sonora. Her siblings Billie Ray Moore, Frank Leslie Moore Jr, Patsy Inez Johnson, Eva Lee Emdy, Martha Neil Hicks and Jack Darryl Moore all of whom attended Sonora High School.

She was also proceeded in death by her grandson Brian Daniel Walton of Casa Grande, AZ

She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
