Pain doesn’t always mean “stretch more.”
Most chronic pain isn’t a flexibility problem.
It’s a stability problem.
A compensation problem.
A tissue restriction problem.
When a muscle feels tight, it’s often guarding. Protecting. Overworking for something else that isn’t doing its job.
So you stretch it.
It feels better.
And then… the pain comes right back.
Medical bodywork looks at why that tissue is overactive in the first place. We assess movement. We find the restriction. We restore function. We retrain the pattern.
Because temporary relief isn’t the goal.
Sustainable change is.
If you’ve been stretching the same spot for months with no real progress, your body might be asking for something different.
