Dr. Acevedo continues to lead the way in ENT care, bringing innovation and compassion to patients across West Texas.

Today, we’re proud to celebrate Dr. Jason Acevedo, MD, MBA, FAAOA, 2024 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipient, & TTUHSC National Advisory Board Member! Dr. Acevedo is lauded for performing the first implantation of the Sentio transcutaneous bone anchored hearing device in West Texas—a milestone that reflects his dedication to expanding access to innovative, transformative care for Texans.

A Sentio device is a non-invasive, specialized hearing system designed for individuals with certain types of hearing loss—particularly conductive hearing loss, mixed hearing loss, or single-sided deafness.

From the classroom to the operating room, Dr. Acevedo continues to exemplify the spirit of TTUHSC’s mission: advancing health care through compassion, expertise, and service to our communities.
