Please help us welcome Maria to our team. She will serve as the Medical Assistant.

Maria Rocha was born and raised here in Abilene. She has worked as a Medical Assistant at West Texas Health for 14 years. Prior to that, she worked at Windcrest Alzheimer's for 2 years. She obtained her medical assistant certification from American Commercial College in Abilene in 2005.

Maria is married to Uvaldo Rocha and together they have 4 children. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her family and try new restaurants. She is most excited about working at ACU for the new experiences and relationships she will form.

If you’ve been to or Einstein Bagels on campus, you may have seen these coffee sleeves provided by the ACU MACCC! Our hope is that this will be a reminder to take time to fill your cup as we all near the end of this semester. We would love for you to share and tag a picture of yourself or in a place that fills YOUR cup using these sleeves!
