Our Inaugural Motorcycle Show is this Saturday. We wanted to thank our many sponsors of the event.

The sponsor of the Best Of Show category is THE PAINT CENTER. The Paint Center is the only locally owned paint store in Abilene. In business since 1971, they are legendary for their customer service and deep knowledge of anything related to paint and painting equipment. Their staff is super friendly and ready to help you with any of your painting needs. The owners are wonderful Christian people who care about their customers. They proudly sell Benjamin-Moore, GPS Paints and Carboline. The owner, Jeff Mowbray has more knowledge about high performance coatings and highly technical painting equipment than ANYONE in Abilene. is off an running! At different times during the day AG matches or gives away additional money to selected non-profits. Here are a few key times that might increase your gift to Steps.

9:15-9:30-They will match any gifts we received during this time. There is a limit of $5,000 for ALL non-profits.
10:15-10:30-Golden Ticket-They will select from one donor during the 15 minute period and give your non-profit $1,000!
10:30-10:45-Match donations again up to $5,000.
11:15-11:30-If we get a gift during this time, we are entered into a drawing for $500.
12:15-12:30-Golden Ticket again $1,000.
12:15-12:30-Match donations again up to $5,000.

That's some options for you until lunch. We'll post some more games after lunch.

Abilene Gives is just two weeks away. Although we haven't been posting daily videos this year like we did last year, we are still active, growing and alive in our community. Our focus on fund raising this year has moved to EVENTS! But we are still excited about this years event. We are planning an upcoming Motorcycle Show, a downtown photo scavenger hunt and then a dove hunt in September for 2026.

This past Sunday, Steps Recovery facilitated TWO church services which were AMAZING! At least two salvations that we know of came out of the services. Beside the numerous prayer chair encounters, we were blessed with 55 written prayer requests between the two services. See the photo above!

Steps Recovery continues to minister to not only those in the Big Country, but also those behind the walls of the prison. Prison ministry is EXPENSIVE. Those going through our programs can't pay for the literature. Your financial support allows us to continue to serve our brothers in white. We are changing men's lives before they re-enter into society and become productive citizens with a love for Jesus.

Today we had our quarterly Re:generation Directional Prison Team meeting. Really exciting the direction Re:generation is headed inside the prison walls! Chuck Adair from Re:generation, updated us on all the possibilities they are working on. Then Fuzzy (Jeff Smith) took us to lunch in the Steps Recovery limo. We had WAY too much fun. He did a great job as our driver. Traci Bishop on our team, created this little video on the way back the the center. She's amazing! Enjoy!

MONDAY MEETING CANCELLED
Due to the icy roads and the weather forecast, we feel it is best we cancel our Monday Night meeting tonight (1/26/26). For those of you working the Groundwork material, please continue working through your day work.
According to the forecast, we will be open on Friday at 6:30pm for scheduled meetings.
