I had a small but great class in Pittsburg, PA this last week! Teaching the 5 day MLD certification class prepared each of them to expand their practice and help their clients with new skills and a deeper understanding of the body and lymphatic system!

Someone very special to me passed a few weeks ago and this is my first time to post anything publicly about it. I tend to get quiet when I'm grieving.
Eric was a brilliant teacher and mentor. He was a glowing example of what it meant to stay curious and never stop learning.
I remember at one of his workshops I teased him from the audience to which he later called me out somewhat abruptly. Fearing I had possibly offended him I went to him after class with the intention of apologizing and saying I didn't intend to be offensive. Instead all that came out of my mouth was, "I love you, Eric." He stopped, looked me at me for a moment and said, "I love you too." We hugged and both went on our way. I think Eric loved all of his students just as we all loved him. But he didn't LOOOVVVVVEEEE them. lol. (that's a joke he often made about our clients at his workshops)
Eric is without a doubt the most influential person in my career to this day. I often find myself looking back at videos, pictures, articles when I find myself with an unusual client on my table. I often ask myself, How would Eric approach this?
He left an indelible mark on me and so many others. He will be deeply, deeply missed.

Having a healthy flowing Lymphatic system is important for great health. Thanks to Ninjas Fighting Lymphedema for this great graphic and quick explanation about our Lymphatic system.

Let's chat about the the lymphatic system. Picture it as your personal trash collector, tirelessly moving lymphatic fluid around, picking up toxins, wastes, and all sorts of icky stuff along the way, then giving them the boot. 🥾

And here's the kicker: poor lymphatic drainage isn't reserved for those dealing with lymphedema. Nope, everyone's got a lymphatic system, and it can get sluggish for a variety of reasons. Whether it's sitting too much, not drinking enough water, or dealing with scar tissue and pesky pathogens, there's a lot that can gum up the works.

So, let's give our lymphatic system a little extra love, shall we? Stay active, stay hydrated, and steer clear of those environmental toxins as best you can. Your body will thank you for it!
