We would like to announce our newest addition to Air Evac 63. Caleb Wade joins our team filling a rare Pilot opening here.
Caleb grew up in Carlsbad New Mexico and moved to Abilene a few years back. He still has lots of family in New Mexico, but now also has a lot of family in Abilene.
He is a 2013 graduate of Carlsbad High School. Aviation peaked his interest at a young age. Following high school, he followed his dream of flying by enrolling in flight school at Quantum Helicopters in 2014. Since earning his FAA pilot's certificate he has gained experience through many different helicopter operations. He started off flying for the oil and gas industry in NM for a few years and then moved to flying power line inspections in South Texas. He eventually switched gears and started flying tours in Myrtle beach and even in Las Vegas through the Grand Canyon!!
In 2019 he hung up his helicopter touring to begin a career flying Helicopter EMS which lead him to Kansas and eventually back to Texas and New Mexico.
He started his Air Evac career at our AEL 115 base at Eastland, Tx in 2022. In October of this year we had a rare opening at Air Evac 63 and Caleb joined our team.
Early next year he and his girlfriend Macie are expecting their first baby in March.
Caleb, we are excited to have you on our team and look forward to working with you.
