As a nonprofit, Hendrick Hospice Care is committed to serving all with compassionate, individualized end-of-life care. In 2024, Hendrick Hospice Care provided more than $250,000 in financial assistance to patients who qualify.

Who needs elves when you have our wonderful volunteers! Thank you to them for assisting us in setting up our Light Up a Life Christmas tree at the Mall of Abilene today. The Light Up a Life campaign enables Hendrick Hospice Care to ensure that each family we serve is surrounded with dignity, comfort and peace.

To help those struggling with grief learn how to find hope and healing during the holiday season, Hendrick Hospice Care offers a seminar for individuals and a children’s holiday grief tool kit for families.

“Grief in the Holidays” is Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for individuals ages 18 and older who have experienced the death of a loved one. A light lunch will be served. There is no cost to attend but reservations are required and space is limited. Please call the RSVP line at 325-670-6999 by Friday, Nov. 7, to secure a spot.

The free Children’s Holiday Grief Tool Kit is for families with children and teens and includes information about children’s grief, family activities and some supplies. Please email bereavement@https://ow.ly/6ivY50Xk3Nf by Friday, Nov. 7 to reserve a tool kit. One per family.

Holidays may seem less joyous for those dealing with grief. KTXS shared how Hendrick Hospice Care offers free bereavement programs to help adults and children navigate life after loss.

Our next program is the Wave of Light perinatal memorial on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Hendrick Hospice Care Center, 1651 Pine St. It is open to anyone affected by a pregnancy or infant loss.
