Lara is our new medical assistant 🩺 She has been in the medical feild since she was 19, & a medical assistant for 13 years !! A fun fact about Lara is that she is left handed & she says if she had to pick her favorite season would be summer, but halloween is by far still her favorite holiday 👻 In her free time she enjoys spending time with her four kids, like watching her youngest son play basketball! 🤩❤️

Candace has worked for Big Country Internal Medicine since 2022! A fun face about her is that she loves to watch scary movies & she says that she doesn’t have times for hobbies because when shes not at work she’s spending time with her kids!! ✨

Big Country Internal Medicine and Zen Therapeutics are pleased to announce the addition of Physician Assistant Clay Bulls to our team.
A native of Earth, Texas, in the panhandle, Clay earned his undergraduate degree from McMurry University. It was there that he met his wife of 30 years, Melissa, from Haskell, Texas. He went on to complete his Physician Assistant studies at Wake Forest University.
Clay is a familiar and respected member of the Abilene medical community, having worked alongside Dr. Hudman in both clinic and hospital settings for the past 24 years.
Clay and Melissa are proud parents of three children: Jonah, Ethan, and Abbie. In addition to his clinical work, Clay also serves as a professor in the Physician Assistant studies program at Hardin-Simmons University.

Katherine is a Nurse Practitioner & has worked for Dr. Hudman since she graduated NP school in 2010!! She loves caring for the geriatric population most of all, this always being a passion of hers. When Katherine isn’t working she’s a wife and mother of 3, following her kids to all of their sporting events such as basketball games, track meets, and more!

Denni is an NCMA and has worked along side Dr. Hudman & Katherine for 13 years!! A fun fact about her is that she is going on 5 years being a breast cancer survivor & that she one time rode a bull for 8 seconds (It was mechanical, but it still counts) ! Denni’s favorite hobbies are laughing with her best friend, who also is her husband.. as well as spending time with her friends, family, & adult son & daughter!! She says she really loves listening to her son play guitar, whether it’s him just messing around or one of his live shows & she’s learning to play the keyboard!! ♥️🩺

Denae is an LVN & has been working for Dr. Hudman since November of 2023!! A fun fact about her is she’s not just a regular mom, shes a cool mom that’s known for her phenomenal potato salad & says to ask anyone who’s tried it & they’ll agree! When she’s not working or making the best potato salad ever, she loves to take pictures. Denae says she loves capturing moments & is even considering taking photography classes in her spare time!! 🩺🤩

Jeannessa is the practice manager at both of our locations!! She’s been working along side Dr. Hudman for 11 years, 12 this October! She says she loves to read, but the majority of her year is spent at the softball fields with her husband & four daughters! 🤩🩺
