The purpose of the Advocacy Specialist is to provide information, support, and training to businesses, service providers, employers, and government agencies as they make their services accessible to people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Advocacy Specialists also assist people who are deaf or hard of hearing by providing training, information, referral, limited assistive equipment demonstrations, and advocacy for communication access.
