We were so grateful to spend part of today serving alongside the The Salvation Army of Abilene, Texas at their Angel Tree distribution event! We had a wonderful time helping hand out Christmas gifts and food to children and families, while also sharing information about Presbyterian Medical Care Mission for those who may need our services.

We are proud to collaborate with the Salvation Army as we serve our neighbors and care for our community—especially during this special season of giving.

2 Corinthians 9:12 reminds us that serving others not only meets real, physical needs but also overflows into thanksgiving and praise to God.

Thank you to everyone who made today possible and helped bring hope, joy, and support to families this Christmas. 💙🎄

We had such a wonderful time hosting a community resource table at last night’s H-E-B Feast of Sharing at the Convention Center! 💛

It was a joy to meet so many friendly faces and share more about the Presbyterian Medical Care Mission and the services we provide — including accessible, affordable primary care and prescription assistance for low-income and uninsured adults in our community.

We also loved handing out gloves and information packets, along with a small encouragement from Philippians 4:6–7. Our hope is that these items offer both warmth and peace as we head into the holiday season. 🧤✨

Thank you to H-E-B for hosting such a beautiful event, and to everyone who stopped by our table!

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending the Community Foundation of Abilene annual luncheon, celebrating 40 years of growth, legacy, and impact in our community. 🎉

We’re deeply grateful for all that CFA does to strengthen and support local philanthropies and charitable causes—helping organizations like ours continue serving those in need of affordable, compassionate medical care.

💗 Reflecting on an Inspiring Saturday – Pink Cap Warriors On The Move Annual Luncheon 💗

This past Saturday, our Executive Director, Brady Harwell, had the incredible honor of joining the Pink Cap Warriors On the Move Annual Luncheon — a beautiful celebration of strength, sisterhood, and survivorship in honor of breast cancer awareness. 🎀

Brady had the pleasure of sharing with the group about the resources available through Presbyterian Medical Care Mission and the importance of having a primary care provider — someone to “quarterback your healthcare” and help ensure that everyone stays proactive about their health and well-being. We talked about how vital preventative care and cancer screenings, such as mammograms, truly are — because early detection saves lives.

One of the most moving moments came when Brady introduced a long-time PMCM patient — someone who has been part of our mission family for 42 years. Recently diagnosed with breast cancer and currently undergoing treatment, she filled the room with laughter, joy, hope, and resilience, sharing how her faith and relationship with Christ continue to sustain her. Her story was a powerful reminder of the strength within this community and the impact of compassion and care. 🙏💞

A heartfelt thank you to Robert and Deydra for organizing such an uplifting event and for allowing us the opportunity to share about PMCM’s role as a vital community healthcare resource.

Together, we are stronger — and together, we can keep moving forward in faith, hope, and health. 💪🌸

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

At Presbyterian Medical Care Mission, we’re reminded every day that preventative care saves lives. Through screenings, early detection, and referrals for imaging and treatment, our mission is to care for our community in both body and spirit.

Today, we’d like to highlight one of our longtime patients — a woman who has been part of the PMCM family since the 1980s. Earlier this year, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and is now courageously undergoing treatment. Her strength, faith, and perseverance have been an inspiration to all of us. 💗

This month, Bahama Buck's is showing their support in the sweetest way possible. When you order a Pink Sno during October, the profits will go directly to support her as she continues her treatment journey.

Today, the PMCM team was able to order some Bahama Buck’s and meet up with her at the clinic for a sweet treat, fun, and fellowship. We’d like to encourage our community to do the same — stop by Bahama Buck’s, order a Pink Sno, and show your support for her as she continues her journey! 💕

🎉 Welcome, Jessica Lindemood, PA-C! 🎉

We’re thrilled to welcome Jessica Lindemood to the Presbyterian Medical Care Mission team! Jessica serves as an Assistant Instructor in the Hardin-Simmons University Physician Assistant Program, where she’s involved in both the didactic and clinical aspects of PA education.

Her clinical background includes Family and Internal Medicine, but her true passion lies in Women’s Health. Jessica became a Nationally Certified Menopause Practitioner in 2022 and is excited to help PMCM expand services for women in our community — including well-woman exams and other essential care.

She will be with us most Tuesdays, working under the supervision of Dr. Cardodiskey, and will also assist with ER follow-ups, quick access appointments, and more, helping us serve even more patients in need.

Outside of work, Jessica loves being involved in her community and spending time with her husband and two young daughters. 💜

Please join us in giving her a warm PMCM welcome!

🎉 Birthday Celebrations at PMCM! 🎉

This week, we had not one, not two—but four birthdays to celebrate! 🥳

Their birthdays all fell within just four days of one another (10/15 week), making it the perfect reason for a little celebration here at PMCM. 🎂🎈

We’re so grateful for each of them and the heart they bring to our mission every day. 💙

🌟 Celebrating 70 Years of Stories with United Way of Abilene 🌟

This morning, PMCM had the joy of attending the United Way of Abilene’s Campaign Kickoff Breakfast at the DoubleTree in Abilene! 🎉

United Way is celebrating its 70th anniversary—that’s 7 decades of service, compassion, and impact across the Big Country. This year’s theme, “70 Years of Stories”, was brought to life through a wonderful video that highlighted the history of generosity in our community.

We also loved hearing updates about the pacesetter campaigns and the exciting momentum building for this year’s efforts.

As a proud partner agency of the United Way of Abilene, PMCM is deeply grateful for their continued support in helping us provide high-quality, affordable healthcare for the uninsured and underserved in our community. ❤️

Here’s to another powerful year of stories, impact, and lives changed in the Big Country!
