🌟 We’re Hiring: Nurse Manager – Crisis Services 🌟

Highlands Community Services is seeking a dedicated Nurse Manager to lead our Crisis Services team at Highlands Harbor and The Anchor.

🏥 Highlands Harbor provides a 12-bed, overnight crisis stabilization program as an alternative to hospitalization, offering compassionate, individualized care in a newly renovated setting.

🛟 The Anchor is a 24/7 facility-based crisis center providing immediate support for individuals in psychiatric or substance use crisis, with calm rooms and recliner seating designed for short-term stabilization.

In this vital leadership role, you’ll:
✅ Supervise and support our nursing staff
✅ Coordinate provider and staff schedules
✅ Serve as liaison with pharmacy and lab partners
✅ Oversee staffing budgets and resource allocation
✅ Ensure quality, compassionate care for those in crisis

🚨 We’re hiring for a Co-Response Specialist!

Highlands Community Services is one of the first five pilot programs in Virginia working to transform the response to behavioral health emergencies. Instead of relying on a default law enforcement response, this program creates a community-based clinical response that focuses on:
✔️ On-the-spot de-escalation & crisis intervention
✔️ Reducing arrests, incarceration & unnecessary hospitalizations
✔️ Addressing racial & cultural disparities in access to care
✔️ Improving outcomes & reducing avoidable trauma

In this role, you’ll work directly alongside law enforcement and peer staff in the community to connect individuals in crisis to the care they need—right when they need it.
