Kevin knows when it’s time to clock in. 🐾 Leash on, tail wagging and he’s headed to Jefferson Health with his owner, Jerry, for another day as a therapy dog in our Pet Therapy for Nurse Well-Being Program.

Led by Kristen Gilmore, Program Manager for Nurse Well-Being, the program supports nurses and staff at Jefferson Bucks, Frankford and Torresdale Hospital. For more than three years, certified therapy dogs like Kevin have been visiting our campuses, offering moments of calm, comfort and connection during demanding shifts.

Meet Scotty. One of our many therapy dogs visiting Jefferson Bucks Hospital through our Pet Therapy for Nurse Well-being Program. Scotty has been part of the program for three years, spending his time making visits that give patients and colleagues a chance to pause during busy days.

Through simple interactions with certified therapy dogs and their handlers, the program offers moments of presence throughout the hospital. It’s a reminder that even a brief visit can help the day feel more manageable.
