A lot of people think PRP “didn’t work for them”… but in most cases, they never actually received true therapeutic-dose PRP in the first place.
Here’s why that matters:
For conditions like knee arthritis, research shows that you need high-dose PRP to see meaningful improvement. Even though PRP is made from your body, like any other treatment, the right dose is critical. That means:
✔️ Large-volume blood draws (often 120–240cc+)
✔️ Platelet counts of ideally at least 10 Billion
✔️ Enough total platelet count to actually stimulate improvement
Most centers use small, single-tube kits that simply cannot reach those numbers. It’s like trying to treat a serious infection with a quarter-dose of antibiotics — the dose determines the outcome.
At Iron Mountain Orthopaedic Institute, we do PRP the way it was designed to work:
💉 High volume blood draws
💉 High-dose PRP
💉 Ultrasound-guided, targeted injections
💉 We often provide guarantees with free treatments if needed to achieve the results promised.
And here’s the part I’m most proud of:
We’ve helped many patients — even those with severe, bone-on-bone arthritis — experience meaningful pain reduction, improved function, and better quality of life WITHOUT surgery. These include patients who tried PRP elsewhere with no benefit… then finally got results with us because the dosage was correct and the technique was precise.
If you’re considering PRP or you’ve had it done somewhere else without success, don’t give up on it yet. You may not have had the right dose — or the right team — behind your treatment.
Iron Mountain Orthopaedic Institute:
PRP done the right way with no cut corners.
High-dose. High-precision. High-success. With a surgeon leading you away from surgery - whenever possible.
