Not to mention the fact that he is a kick ass musician! Dr. Martin was one of the first cardiologists to take my pleas seriously when I raised the issue about the lack of newborn screening for Critical Congenital Heart Disease. His leadership, dedication and talent led to the adoption of newborn screening throughout the U.S. and has likely saved countless young lives!
