Congratulations to two of my heroes! Gil was one of the first to volunteer his time to serve on the Advisory Board of The Congenital Heart Information Network and spent countless hours helping parents and patients on our forums and online resources. Not to mention the fact that he is a kick ass musician! Dr. Martin was one of the first cardiologists to take my pleas seriously when I raised the issue about the lack of newborn screening for Critical Congenital Heart Disease. His leadership, dedication and talent led to the adoption of newborn screening throughout the U.S. and has likely saved countless young lives!
