Please share with anyone that may be affected. If anyone needs flood clean-up advice, phone calls are free. Please be careful of “Mold Certificate” scams. You can not clear a home by simply spraying a chemical. Clearing a home requires an assessment with air quality testing. For answers to your questions call 985-807-7352.

Hello Everyone,
I know many of you have damage and are worried about mold. The 1st thing to do is prevent further water intrusion. The 2nd is to discard soft wet materials such as mattresses, carpet, padding, and any soft goods that have been sitting. 3rd provide ventilation in any way possible. I know this is difficult without electricity. 4th clean water affected areas. 5th as soon as you have electricity, get a dehumidifier running.
These steps will not prevent mold growth but will help slow things down.
I am still an evacuee at this time, but will return as soon as I have utilities. I can be reached at 985-807-7352. I will be glad to talk to anyone affected, and verbally help as much as I can.
We will get through this and be stronger on the other side ❤️

To My Friends in the Path of Ida,
I know many of you are out of my working area, and I can not physically help with your mold concerns. I will be happy to talk to you on the phone, and offer any knowledge that I have. Most importantly, please be careful with door to door contractors that appear in the aftermath of a disaster. There are convincing salesmen that will tell you that you need a mold certificate then charge a small fortune to spray chemicals in your home. The only true mold certificate is a lab report in conjunction with a proper inspection. It will be a while before proper inspections can be performed. Also make sure your home is thoroughly dried after clean-up before you wall back up. You can reach me anytime at 985-875-7701. You are all in my prayers!
