In-Zane Project Welcome to The InZane Project info page. Thank you for your care and support.🍀

We want to bring awareness to our son Zane and his need for a kidney transplant, along with our fundraising efforts, to offset cost associated with it.

Zane responded well to the first two treatments of medication so far with some side effects. He is comfortable and has a positive mindset on fighting the rejection. We are blessed to have a wonderful psychologist at UCSF working with Zane, helping him through these hard moments. Thank you for the continued prayers and support🤍

Zane update-
Zane has tested negative for all bacteria, all viruses, and infectious diseases that they were looking for. While that is good news to a parent's ears, doctors would rather know what 'IT' is so they can treat it. As it stands now, 'IT' appears to be the harsh side affects of some of the meds Zane has to take. This has not been your typical transplant.
All transplants are unique but his has had a few curve balls.
We are beyond relieved his white and red blood cell counts continue to rise and he is getting back to his talented, loving, quirky self. As of now we will remain here since Docs have to keep an eye on other levels. Thank you all for the prayers and ❤️ love. Zane says, 👋

Where do we start.... First thank you for all the love. 💛
I read Zane the messages, when he let's me 😉 and they truly mean so much, to him and us.
He had one of his hardest nights since Jan/Feb. So much pain, it hurts me it even say.
I was proud of him.... he advocated for him self lastnight, something he struggles with and often looks at me to do it for him but not last night.
Tylenol finally took the edge off, along side Lidocain patches wich led to a nice morning. He was able to get cleared to take walk (when I took this pic) after some test showed he could leave the room. We enjoyed the freedom for a few hours.
We are now back to square 3 trying to find out why he is spiking fevers. Without sharing too much, the Docs' are now listening to our informed, knowledgeable, hunches.
And we wait🍀

Zane got an IV late last night/early this morning and has been admitted to the hospital. He is one step down from ICU, which is good. His white blood cell count was extremely low, but his kidney function is stable. He is on a broad spectrum of antibiotics, until they pinpoint what the exact infection is, then target it.
THANK YOU, for the love and prayers it truly helps🩵🍀🩵

We honestly did not think we would be back in the hospital this soon. Thought we would breeze right through till Fall at the very least.
No matter how careful you are, immunosuppressants make you extremely vulnerable.
Praying we Got here in time.🩵

💚Thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to Back Alley Brew.
The musicians and bands were so talented and fun, thank you!
We were so happy Zane could make an appearance. He really enjoyed seeing some old friends and teachers. Wishing you all a blessed Easter🪻

Come on out to Back Alley Brew tomorrow 3 to 9 for some great music and delicious spirits. We weren't sure if Zane was going to be well enough to attend but he is! He will be there for a hot minute. Hannah & I have been baking our butts off to offer Zane's favorite Zucchini bread. We also have popcorn, Easter florals, yard pong with mystery gift giveaways.
J&J Inc. has arranged all this, they will have some awesome raffles and silent auction items! Hope to see some of you there🍀
