Due to the recent rain and hail storms at old Acoma last evening the community is urged to check on family homes at Old Acoma. Families are encouraged to document damage to homes caused by the hailstorms.

Community Notice: Clarification Regarding Haak’u Health Center

We would like to address and correct some misinformation that has been circulating in and around the surrounding communities. It is not true that Haak’u Health is only seeing Pueblo of Acoma members.

As long as you are an enrolled member of a Federally recognized Native American tribe, you are fully entitled to receive direct care services at Haak’u Health Center and will be seen.

To our valued neighbors from the Pueblo of Laguna, we especially want to ensure you know that you are always welcome to continue your care with Haak’u Health. Your presence is important to us, and we remain committed to serving you with respect, dignity, and compassion.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding this misinformation may have caused. Thank you for helping us share accurate information and for being part of a supportive, informed community.

Haak’u Health will be closing today at 1:30pm due to the patient data system being down. This is to ensure the safety of our patients.

We are having some lingering issues with bringing our patient data base (RPMS) online. We continue to partner with IHS and are actively working the issue.

In the meantime Haaku Health will make every attempt to provide care however services including dental will remain limited.
