Yesterday, after work, I rushed to the Chinese New Year celebration at Westford Academy, where I provided free mini acupuncture sessions from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. I treated a total of 15 individuals, with an equal split between Americans and Chinese. Several high school boys were particularly endearing, with complaints of neck pain, neck and ankle pain, and arm pain. One patient with neck pain responded remarkably well to a single needle, exclaiming "amazing". Another student with ankle pain experienced increased mobility and complete pain relief after receiving two needles. A third patient with neck pain also showed significant improvement. A patient with arm pain reported reduced pain after receiving a single needle, followed by further relief with electro-acupuncture. The high school students enthusiastically took photos and videos of each other, clearly thrilled by their experiences. Following the treatment, all patients reported significant pain relief. I hope to have the opportunity to work with them again. As a practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine in the United States, I am proud to promote this ancient practice.
