I'm Lindsay, a marketing executive turned ADHD Coach and voice for neurodivergent thinkers. Before becoming an ADHD Coach, I spent 18 years rising the ranks at brands like Nike, Levi Strauss & Co., Google/Nest, Keds, and WS Development. A late-in-life ADHD diagnosis and the experience of caring for two young kids during the global pandemic led me to rethink my career and, ultimately, my life purpose. As I worked to understand my own brain post-diagnosis, my deep dive into all things ADHD evolved into a passion for neurodiversity support, education, and advocacy. When life gets wavy, try giving yourself permission.

This isn’t quitting or giving up. It IS permission to respond to life as it actually is. Listening to your mind, body, soul and needs.

That might look like:
• a pause before pushing through
• doing the thing “the weird way” because it works
• canceling plans when your battery is cooked
• letting rest be productive
• letting creativity be the thing you need today

Life doesn’t stop being wavy.
But when we stop fighting the waves, things get a little easier. A little softer. A little more you. A little less splashy and a bit more flowy.

💭 Wave Check: What would permission look like for you right now?
✨Messy answers welcome and encouraged 🦄

2025 was the Year of the Snake.
2026 is the Year of the Horse.

I didn’t know that when I drew a snake a couple of weeks ago in November last year. I didn’t know that when I started wrapping horseshoes with thread either.

But here we are. 🐍➡️🐎

The Snake year was about shedding. Quiet growth. Letting go of what no longer fit — identities, patterns, expectations. A lot of internal work. A lot of slow, intentional change.

And now we’re moving into the Year of the Horse — movement, visibility, expression. Taking what’s been refined on the inside and letting it show up in the world. With energy. With intention. With boundaries.

The timing feels… not accidental ✨🌙✨

What started as something I made with my hands — just for grounding, creativity, and joy — has gotten more interest than I expected. And I’m listening to that.

So consider this a gentle noticing. And maybe… a small tease. 👀

More to come. In the meantime: root before you run.

The way the world largely talks about ADHD makes it seem like ADHD is a productivity problem. Too many tabs open. Not enough willpower. Didn’t check all (or the right) boxes on the sacred to do list…

The deeper view is that productivity isn’t always about output. Sometimes it’s about energy. Sometimes it’s about capacity. Sometimes it’s about choosing one thing that helps you feel grounded, capable or even just…okay.

So let’s drop the “muscle through” and the “just do it” energy. You’re allowed to define what being productive looks like for you. Not your boss. Not your mom. Not the internet.

So share here if you feel inclined: what’s one thing you could do or did do today that made you FEEL productive?
(No wrong answers 😉)

Sometimes, the impulsive side of ADHD gets a bad rap. But it’s not all missed deadlines and online shopping rabbit holes. 🕳️

Sometimes? It’s buying the ticket.
Saying yes.
Starting the thing.
The impulse to try, explore, go for it, even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed, is a powerful (and often fun) part of a wavy brain.

Yeah, it can get us into hot spots when we’re not tuned in.
But when it hits right? We’re the spontaneous friend who makes the plan, sparks the idea, and jumps in with both feet.

So today’s Wave Check is a reminder:
Don’t be afraid to lean into that part of you.

It’s not reckless, it’s resourceful, adventurous, and sometimes... exactly what you need.

🌊 Let’s see what happens.

This week’s has a little more weight to it.
These pics are of meand my why. 💛
When I was diagnosed with ADHD, I didn’t learn about it. At all.
I took the meds.
I kept working late.
I kept masking.
I kept saying yes when I should’ve asked for space.
I told myself, “This isn’t that big a deal.”
I believed all the stereotypes, that ADHD was just for hyper little boys who couldn’t sit still. (it’s not.)
Then the pandemic hit.
I was pregnant with my daughter.
Everything I’d been sweeping under the rug came flooding out.
The emotional overwhelm.
The decision paralysis.
The exhaustion from pretending I was fine.

That was the moment I realized:
ADHD was playing a MUCH bigger role in my life than I ever understood.
And the real problem wasn’t me, it was how little I actually knew about myself and how I experience the world.

There’s a saying we used in coaching school:
👉 “The pills don’t build the skills.”
Cringy? Yes.
True? Also, yes. 💯

It’s also why I created my ADHD 101 offering. A two-session starter to help you (or someone you love) understand how ADHD actually works — and how it shows up in real life. Because understanding your brain work is the first step toward changing how you treat yourself.

Let’s find that flow for you 🌊

✨ I’m excited to share that I’ve officially joined the coaching team to support more women in leadership, motherhood, and all the beautifully messy moments in between.
If you’re navigating big career moves, burnout, or just feeling like you’re “too much” or “not enough” all at once — coaching might be the bridge to real, lasting change.
🧠 Neurodivergence isn’t a flaw — it’s a different framework.
And with the right support, it can become your biggest strength.

Wave Check 🌊 How are you, really?
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this is your reminder that it’s OK if the answer is:
- Not great
- Could be better
- Hanging on by a thread
- Honestly? I don’t know…

You don’t need to have a perfect answer. But you do deserve a space to process it.
💬 Talk it out.
✍️ Write it down.
📞 Reach out.
Especially if you’re neurodivergent, it’s easy to get caught in the spin cycle — thoughts spiraling, shame creeping in, inner critics on loud 🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀

Let this be your nudge to get it out of your head and into the world. A note in your phone. A voice memo. A trusted person.

You’re not alone. You’re not broken. You’re just riding the wave.
And you’re allowed to ask for help.
🌊 With you in the waves — always 🩷

Wave Check… Thursday edition. 🙃
I was going to post this yesterday. But then my kids school vacation week got in the way and I didn’t get to it...

Then, the overthinking spiral entered the chat... 🌀
Should I wait ‘til next week?
I’m the worst - who am I if I can’t even stay on a simple content schedule?!
Is it even a Wave Check if it’s not on a Wednesday?!

* breathe *

Then I remembered I took this pic at my hair appointment this weekend (👋🏼 )
A sign. Literally.

So here we are. A quick check-in, from my brain to yours - how’s the week going for everyone? 🌊✨

Ever said something simple to your ADHD teen — and it landed like a gut punch? This week’s was sparked by a conversation with a parent client who’s navigating this exact thing.

RSD (Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria) is real for many ADHDers — and it can hit especially hard during the teen years.
It’s when the nervous system interprets perceived rejection as danger, and shuts everything down: conversations, connection, curiosity. Defense mode activated. 🙅🏼🙅🏾‍♂️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️

🌊 Link in bio to read the full Brain Waves blog post about what RSD can look like — and how to support your teen with more compassion (for them and for you).
P.S. While this blog focuses on teens, it’s so relevant to ADHDers of all ages.

Hey. Quick Wave Check 🌊👋🏼
As an ADHDer and human, this whole social media thing can really mess with my head. Post more. Make it pretty! Post consistently. Show up. Figure out the algorithm! 🫠🫠🫠

I am not a digital content creator and don’t really want to be one.
But I do want to show up - for you, my fellow wavy-brained friends, my work, and for myself - in a way that actually works for me.
So I’m trying a lil something - let’s call it Wave Check Wednesdays.
Once a week. It might be short. It might be thoughtful. It might be weird. Sometimes funny, sometimes not. Some weeks I’ll skip altogether - because, well, my brain is wavy. 〰️

No pressure. No performance. No algorithm-chasing. Permission for myself to just do what feels good.

A check in, from my brain to yours.
Let’s see what happens. 🌊💫
