1339 residents of Acton and Boxborough rely on SNAP benefits (July 2025 data, MA DTA).

With the likely delay in access to benefits starting Nov 1, please help us spread the word to make sure all our neighbors know where they can turn for healthy groceries (Acton Food Pantry, Open Table, Little Free Pantries) and welcoming community meals (Mt. Calvary Community Supper of Acton, Guest Table Community Dinner).

This week we celebrate our Medical Assistants, not with clichés or empty praise, but with real gratitude for the role they play every single day.

They are the ones who keep patients moving through a busy schedule, who step in when something unexpected comes up, and who know the details that make a visit smoother for both patients and providers. They balance clinical skill with compassion, making sure that care is not only efficient but also personal.

At Acton Medical, our MAs adapt constantly. Whether it is learning new workflows, supporting a colleague, or finding a way to make a nervous patient feel at ease, they bring a steady presence to work that matters. They are often the first and last faces a patient sees during a visit, and that impression sets the tone for the entire experience.
