Hi, there! I’m Alyssa, the face behind A.Oliveira Photos. With all of the new followers and big changes recently happening for A.Oliveira Photos, I thought a reintrouduction was long overdue.

I’m a photographer, wife, and proud mom to three amazing kids with unique needs and perspectives that make life extra special.

I grew up on a farm in a small Massachusetts town, and have now settled in the woods in the next town over to raise my own family. Growing up in New England shaped my love for its natural beauty— the vibrant fall foliage, fluffy snowfalls, muddy puddles, and glowing sunsets.

Before diving into photography, I worked as a configuration analyst and later as a data analyst. These roles taught me invaluable skills like attention to detail and self-motivation. However, I always craved a creative outlet, and photography became that for me. It also offered the flexibility I needed to stay close to my children and support their unique needs— a gift I’m endlessly grateful for.

Currently, I volunteer for an agency that provides photography services to fostering-to-adopt families on their adoption hearing day. I also love to donate my time to photographing local community, awareness and fundraiser events. Booking with me ensures that I can continue to offer my services for these meaningful causes, while also supporting my own little family. Don't be surprised if you see my kids with me at some of these events!

Less than 2 months ago, my perspective on the world shifted when I lost one of my younger brothers, Alexander. His passing deepened my appreciation for capturing life’s fleeting, beautiful moments, especially with loved ones. It reinforced my mission to create lasting memories for others— moments that can be cherished for a lifetime. I have been trying to cope with his loss by using my creative outlet to make slideshows of every photo I can dig up of his beautiful smiling face, and videos of him laughing and showing his true nature to share with all of our family and friends— hoping it helps them cope, too. Stay tuned for minis, giveaways, deals, and fundraisers in his honor, once I can gather myself some more!

My ultimate goal for A.Oliveira Photos is to specialize in photography for adults and children with differing needs. I strive to create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for every client, from the very first inquiry to the moment their photos proudly hang on their walls. I believe in celebrating authenticity and confidence because our differences make us beautifully unique.

Recently, we have added two indoor spaces— the greenhouse, and the barn. The greenhouse is perfect for lifestyle photos. The rustic wood, natural lighting, and reflections from all the windows add a unique touch. There is also a small seating area outside the greenhouse for outdoor photos to add variety to your session. The barn, despite its name, is a more modern and clean bright white space. It is perfect for lifestyle photos and has extra space for backdrop set ups. Both spaces were expertly built with attention to detail by my supportive husband. I am now officially booking sessions in both of these spaces!
