Because it ‘might’ storm in the South… 🫣🥶🌨️ We need to stay focused on our goals!! Our path is to a healthier lifestyle !!
Here are some non-perishable snack/food ideas that focus on clean(er) protein and fiber options.
1. Wilde Protein Chips: good protein content, gluten free, low carb. Love the salty crunch these chips have. I always have these handy.
2. Dry Roasted Edamame: go for the plain sea salt option if you don’t like spicy. This wasabi one has some kick. Love the nutty crunch here. Good protein and fiber! Love!
3. RX Bar: love the clean ingredients in these bars and I don’t bloat when I consume these.
4. Archer Grass Fed Beef Jerky: my favorite jerky ever! No nitrates added, no preservatives or MSG. Cleaner than other options on the market. They taste good, no weird under-flavor and they are soft!
5. Roasted Seaweed Snacks: ok, an acquired taste if you don’t like seafood, but once I gave them a try, I got hooked. They come in different flavors. Teriyaki one is so good! Great snack options for the CWLI active phase! Good for bowel movements. Good source of Iodine!
6. These Amazon Prunes are actually good! I always have these handy. Excellent source of prebiotics and great option to keep your bowel movements regular!
7. Chocolove Almonds and Sea salt Dark Chocolate.
8. Siete Grain Free Tortilla Chips: I just love the comforting feel these chips have. Not strongly flavored, but just right! Not a good protein source! But gluten free, made with cassava flour good option if you struggle with gut issues, including celiac!
Other options:
-Canned beans or lentils.
-Almond butter
-Nuts and seeds
-Canned protein: chicken, salmon, tuna and sardines (my faves)
-Hummus
-Bone broth
-Herbal teas
Remember:
🔹Portion control.
🔹We don’t pause our healing because of the storm.
🔹We don’t use the storm as an excuse to overeat or to eat pourly.
🔹We navigate life events with respect for our own body and journey.
🔹We get some books, games, crafts ready to keep our mind and hands focused on creativity and self growth.
