Heading to work to work on some people today at my new massage location in kennesaw. So blessed that God is helping me in this journey and gives me the strength to do this each day. What a wonderful gift to help people and love um up.

Please take a good look at what is happening in your body when you are sitting all day in a office work space environment. It is not a pretty picture, but there are exercises and good habits we can get into that will help alleviate this terrible pain cycle and get you on your way to better health. Massage therapy is a much needed way to help increase circulation to those areas that are being affected by these bad seating postures. Good circulation means less pain, better sleep and better productivity at work!

I am following up with my last post What to expect from a massage. This post is Contraindications for massage.
For the most case massage is a very safe and therapeutic therapy with many health benefits. Listed below are some reasons that massage would not be indicated or beneficial. Of course always check with your Doctor if you have any doubts.

1. Massage is contraindicated if you are sick or have a fever. Please do not come to a massage ill for your health as well as the therapist.
2. Pregancy massage is allowed after 28 weeks
3. Severe pain, refer out to your doctor or ER
4. Infections of the skin and soft tissues, bacterial infections, viral infections and fungal infections can be spread to other areas of the body.
5. Lack of sensation in parts of your body.
6. Open sores or wounds
7. Recent surgery
8. Deep vein thrombosis
9.Any acute flare up of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.
10. Last but not least, in the case of cancer please contact your doctor. In most cases massage is very beneficial to the client. Massage is very helpful for cancer patients with pain and anxiety. Massage strokes should be lighter and very relaxing to the client.
